What is the advantage of having an elevator over a stair lift?

Installing an elevator is the easiest and most convenient way to get you up and down multiple levels of your home or business. 

Stair lifts require you to climb in and out of a seat and swivel at the top of the stairs which can become trickier and less easy to do as you get older. With an AmeriGlide elevator, there is no fussing with seats. You can load yourself as well as your wheelchair or motorized scooter into the cab, ride up or down, and get out when you’ve reached your destination.

There are multiple safety features included on most of our elevators such as:

• an emergency stop button
• emergency lighting
• emergency stop alarm

Will having a residential elevator enhance my home and add value to it?

Yes! Adding an elevator will increase the value of your home or business. Our elevators are fully customizable to your liking which can add extra appeal when you decide to sell.

How long does it take to receive an elevator after its ordered?

It varies depending on the specs of your elevator, location, and permits needed. The average time it takes to get your elevator in your home or business is within 4-6 weeks from ordering. Installation itself can take 1-2 days, depending on how many stops (number of floors) you have on your elevator.

How much does an AmeriGlide elevator cost?

The exact price varies on these factors:

• is your home new construction an existing home?
• do you need a hoistway installed? any other construction needed?
• the layout of your home / business

What are the available configurations for an elevator?

We can provide you with any type of configuration that best fits what you’re looking for.

Can disabled U.S. Veterans receive assistance from the government towards the purchase of an elevator?

In many cases, yes. The Department of Veterans Affairs does offer cash grants to some disabled veterans for motility devices. For more information on this, please click here.

Can I finance my elevator from AmeriGlide?

Yes. We provide easy and affordable financing through our partner, Bread ®, so you can pay for your purchase over time.*

Veterans may be eligible for financing or reimbursement through their local VA. Your local Area Agency on Aging and the Federal Housing Administration can be of help, as well.

*Subject to approval of credit application. Rates range from 6.99% to 29.99% APR, resulting in, for example, 36 monthly payments of $32.26 at 9.99% APR, per $1,000 borrowed.
