The AmeriGlide Curved Process

The video above gives a great overview, from start to finish, of what to expect in the Curved Stair Lift process. Since a curved stair lift is custom built just for your home, the process takes a little longer than buying a "cookie-cutter" one. The wait (and extra cost) is worth it though if you want a stair lift that is a top-notched addition to your home.

Curved Stair Lift Process - 4-5 Weeks Total

We fly someone out to measure your staircase with a digital measurement kit.
CAD drawings are made of your stair case. This gives you a visual picture of what the final product is going to look like.
You receive the drawings to approve the final design.
The drawings go back to the factory and your stair lift is made.
The finished product is air shipped to your location.
You let us know when it gets there and we'll setup an appointment to come and install.
Our installer catches a flight out to install your stair lift.

Customize To Fit Your Needs

YOU are in control of your finished AmeriGlide Curved Stair Lift is going to look and function. If you don't want your stair lift to just stop at the bottom of your staircase for ascetic reasons or because there just isn't enough room for it, there are options for that. You can opt to have it wrap to the side with a 90° turn or around the wall completely with an 180° turn. You can also design your lift to include a bottom run-on if your home's layout has room for it. If your home doesn't have a lot of room at the bottom of your stairs, you can change your bottom rail from a standard drop to a nose drop which saves 4" of space. Design your curved stair lift to fit your needs.

90° Turn

If you space allows, a 90° turn at the bottom of your staircase frees up the walkway when your curved stair lift isn't in use.

180° Turn

Like the 90° turn, the 180° turn option removes the curved stair lift from the walkway. Design your lift to use the one that best fits your needs and home layout.

Bottom Run-On or Top Run-off

If you'd like more room at the top exiting or would like more room at the bottom, add a top run-off or bottom run-on rail option.

Nose Drop

If you have a limited amount of space at the bottom your staircase, the nose-drop option frees up 4" of space.

Digital diagnostic display built into the armrest, to check all the information and diagnostics about you stair lift in real time.

Independent lever footrest raiser to open and close the footrest easily when you need it without having to bend down. Also allows easy transfer for wheelchair users.

Ergonomic joystick Can be used as a button or lever to make the stair lift easy to operate in a natural and comfortable position even with limited mobility.
