The AmeriGlide Rave is an ultra-compact stair lift designed to make restoring accessibility to your multi-level home as convenient and easy as possible! Homeowners with exceptionally narrow stair cases will love the ultra-thin design of this stair lift. The lift unit takes up only slightly more than 11 inches when folded, allowing able-bodied housemates and guests optimal access to the stairs. The AmeriGlide Rave is built for durability, with a tough all-metal case construction that withstands normal wear-and-tear far better than other comparable stair lift brands. The powerful worm-rack system can safely transport up to 350 pounds of user weight, and an adjustable-height padded seat with durable folding arms ensures that you will remain comfortable during transit - the seat measures in at 19 inches wide and 14 inches deep.

The AmeriGlide Rave differs from many of our competitors' stair lift units in that the track attaches to the stairs themselves rather than the wall, and every point of contact uses a single bracket, making installation easier on homeowners and handymen. The Rave is compatible with any standard household power outlet, and the battery that powers the unit charges at the top or bottom of the track, providing a reserve of power that keeps your stair lift going even in the event of a power outage. An arm-mounted operation switch is included as a standard feature, along with AmeriGlide's standard array of safety switches that prevent the lift from operating if an obstruction blocks your path. The seat swivels at the top, away from the steps, so the rider can safely exit or enter the stair lift.

Best of all, the AmeriGlide Rave lifts are assembled in the USA, which means quality you can depend on.

Stair lift users need a unit that is safe, comfortable, reliable, and easy to install. The AmeriGlide Rave satisfies all of your needs. To order, contact our mobility specialists today!

A Compact Stair Lift
Aug 2, 2020 9:04 PM

A Little About Myself

Pros

Cons

We bought the AmeriGlide Rave stair lift mainly for its compactness and installed it ourselves. The rail of stair lift was precut based on the stair measurement. It fitted the stair well, with the footrest perfectly aligned with the top stair when the seat reaches the upper end. However, we had a two-section rail and the joint at two-sections did not align well, making the drive and chair clicks when passing the joint. We tried to correct it but it could not adjust at all. Also, the two sections of the aluminum rail had quite different colors on their anodized surfaces, making the rail looked a little awkward. But we are satisfied with the function of the lift. The installation was a lot harder than a "two-hour job" as we were initially told. It turned out to be closer to two days. The main problem was the instruction, which did not contain accurate pictures showing the parts and assembly, and had some reversed or missed steps. The difficulty was further exacerbated by some defective parts. For instance one of the rivets on a pair of charge strips was too high, initially making it difficult to insert into the slot and then made it shorted to the rail. Luckily, we caught it before connecting the power and fixed it. I’d strongly suggest Ameriglide to update the Installation and Service Manual. Our advice to future buyers is to allocate sufficient time and patience for it, or to have an experienced installer. I will give a 3-star at this point and will update after some usage.
AmeriGlide replies:
Thank you for your input and I apologize that your installation was more difficult than it should have been. We are currently working to rewrite our instructions and provide a better video for folks who do DIY installation. I hope your stair lift is working well and continues to for a long time to come. Thanks for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate that!

A Little About Myself

66 year old with I'll wife

Pros

Dane was helpful, honest and professional Product appears rugged and well made Packaging was excellent

Cons

Remote's work spotty. Could use a better antenna. To much steel for small directional included. Instructions could be clearer, but with on line video, ok

Service & Delivery

Now for the reason for my anguish. Long story short is FedEx delivered 1 package a day. The last (The Rail) did not get here until the 24th. Not had to use service

I need to apologize to Dane and the whole Ameriglide crew for calling and getting angry for only getting 1 of 3 packages on the first delivery. Again, my sincere apologie.
AmeriGlide replies:
Hi, Cookie. I apologize for the multiple deliveries. I know that can be pretty frustrating to not them get all at one time. I'm glad they all got there safely, though. I also hope that the remote works better for you. I would definitely try replacing the batteries inside the remote to make sure it's not a power issue. I hope your stair lift continues to work out well for you both! Please let us know if you need anything else.

Pros

solid stairlift

Cons

wife says clicking noise at bottom and near top. in my opinion its a slight clicking at bottom and near top. this noise started after one year of use.

Service & Delivery

delivery was on time and the installer was quick.
the old rack and pinion stairlift made less noise than this rave stairlift. but the rave stair lift looks better. so i purchased it. it was on sale so its only 100.00 higher than the older style stairlift. i hope this stairlift will last good long while.
AmeriGlide replies:
Thank you for your review, MDM! We hope your stair lift lasts you for many years, as well.

I have a lot of difficulty climbing stairs, due to congestive heart failure and a unilaterally paralyzed diaphragm. The Ameriglide Stair Lift provides much needed access to my home's 2nd floor (where the bedrooms are). Many thanks for a great product!

Cons

Not a con so much as a caution: Don't forget to ask about the electrical connection before purchasing.

This was an emotionally difficult decision made easy by Eric. He walked me through a process about a subject I knew nothing about. The outcome? A terrific chair lift that works flawlessly. Thanks!
I have only positive comments. Everything about the customer service which walked me through a purchase I knew nothing about to plugging in the unit at installation for a glorious ride both up and down
