Protection Plans
The AmeriGlide Protection Plan (“Protection Plan”) is not a manufacturer’s warranty and does not replace or extend the Manufacturer’s Warranty.
The Protection Plan is an optional service agreement that provides additional coverage for certain mechanical and electrical failures, including failures caused by normal use, whether or not such failures are classified as manufacturing defects.
Coverage begins when the Product ships and runs in parallel with the Manufacturer’s Warranty. If a failure occurs during the Manufacturer’s Warranty period, the Manufacturer’s Warranty will apply first. The Protection Plan may cover eligible failures that are not covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty and continues to provide coverage after the Manufacturer’s Warranty expires, subject to the selected plan term and exclusions below.
Coverage applies only to the specific Product for which the Protection Plan was purchased and is non-transferable, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Coverage Period
Coverage under the Protection Plan begins on the date the Product ships from AmeriGlide and continues for the duration of the selected plan term:
1-Year Protection Plan
2-Year Protection Plan
3-Year Protection Plan
Coverage automatically ends at the conclusion of the selected term. There are no automatic renewals unless explicitly offered in writing by AmeriGlide.
What Is Covered
The Protection Plan covers the cost of replacement parts required to address a Covered Failure, defined as a mechanical or electrical failure resulting from normal use of the Product. Covered components may include, but are not limited to:
- Motor and gearbox assemblies
- Control boards and electronic components
- Wiring and electrical assemblies
- Mechanical drive components
Accidental Damage Coverage (Limited)
Accidental damage resulting from a single, unintentional event (including drops, impacts, or breakage) is covered up to the total amount paid for the Protection Plan. Any repair or replacement costs exceeding the Protection Plan amount for accidental damage are the responsibility of the customer.
What Is Not Covered
The Protection Plan does not cover:
- Accidental damage repair or replacement costs exceeding the total amount paid for the Protection Plan
- Damage caused by water, flooding, fire, corrosion, or acts of God
- Labor costs, service calls, travel fees, diagnostics, or installation charges unless expressly agreed to in writing
- Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, paint, upholstery wear, or discoloration
To initiate a claim under the Protection Plan:
The customer must contact AmeriGlide Technical Support during the coverage period.
AmeriGlide will perform troubleshooting remotely and may request photos, videos, or additional documentation.
If a Covered Failure is confirmed, AmeriGlide will ship the required replacement part(s) at no charge.
AmeriGlide reserves the right to determine the appropriate remedy, including repair or replacement of individual components.
Limitations of Liability
AmeriGlide’s total liability under this Protection Plan shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Protection Plan.
AmeriGlide shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use or inconvenience.
Transferability
The Protection Plan is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation location, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Cancellation & Refunds
The Protection Plan may be canceled only prior to the Product shipping for a full refund.
Once the Product has shipped, the Protection Plan becomes non-cancelable and non-refundable, regardless of whether the Product has been installed, used, or a claim has been made. No refunds, partial refunds, or credits will be issued after shipment.
Amendments
AmeriGlide reserves the right to amend these Terms prospectively. Any amendments will not affect claims arising prior to the effective date of the amendment.
