Overview
Introducing the NEW and greatly-improved AmeriGlide Rave 2! This sleek and stylish stair lift has been upgraded with many features that with keep you safe and comfortable while going up and down your stairs. The already ultra-compact stair lift was designed to make restoring accessibility to your multi-level home as convenient and easy as possible. Now, it is even better! Homeowners with exceptionally narrow stair cases will love the ultra-thin design of this stair lift. The lift unit takes up only slightly more than 11 inches when folded, allowing others in your home optimal access to the stairs. The AmeriGlide Rave 2 is built for durability, with a tough all-metal case construction that withstands normal wear-and-tear far better than other comparable stair lift brands.
The AmeriGlide Rave 2 differs from many of our competitors' stair lift units in that the track attaches to the stairs themselves rather than the wall, and every point of contact uses a single bracket, making installation easier. The Rave II is compatible with any standard 120V household power outlet, and the battery that powers the unit charges at the top or bottom of the track, providing a reserve of power that keeps your stair lift going even in the event of a power outage. An arm-mounted operation switch is included as a standard feature, along with AmeriGlide's standard array of safety switches that prevent the lift from operating if an obstruction blocks your path. The seat swivels at the top, away from the steps, so the rider can safely exit or enter the stair lift.
Best of all, the AmeriGlide Rave 2 lift is assembled in the USA, which means quality you can depend on.

Pros Installation was pretty easy. 1 800 help was right on the target and fast. |
Cons Each piece was extremely heavy |
Service & Delivery The AmeriGlide service was great. FedEx however, was not as good. One box was delivered two days early, but I received a text saying all three were delivered. Had a lot of trouble getting a person on the line to verify that they had not lost the other two boxes. |
AmeriGlide
replies: We're glad you had success with the installation and are enjoying your stair lift! I'm sorry it's so heavy and that FedEx brought you your items at different times. I've actually had that happen to myself recently with FedEx, as well. Thanks for taking a moment to write a review and we hope you enjoy your stair lift! |

Liberating lift!
Sep 5, 2020 2:28 AM
The Rave lift is sturdy, comfortable and has allowed me to be more independent. Now, even if I am feeling bad and can not breathe well I will be able to get upstairs from my basement apartment to get to Dr. Appointments without stressing my family (physically and mentally).

Service & Delivery My lift was delivered as stated within 10 business days of my purchase. The installer drove several hours to get to my home but was very personable and extememly knowledgeable about the product. Unfortunately, 2 braces were not in the packaging, the installer spoke with AmeriGlide and was able to return to my home the in 2 days to finish the install. I felt that I had learned tha I could rely on timely service if I ever needed it. |

A Compact Stair Lift
Aug 2, 2020 9:04 PM
We bought the AmeriGlide Rave stair lift mainly for its compactness and installed it ourselves. The rail of stair lift was precut based on the stair measurement. It fitted the stair well, with the footrest perfectly aligned with the top stair when the seat reaches the upper end. However, we had a two-section rail and the joint at two-sections did not align well, making the drive and chair clicks when passing the joint. We tried to correct it but it could not adjust at all. Also, the two sections of the aluminum rail had quite different colors on their anodized surfaces, making the rail looked a little awkward. But we are satisfied with the function of the lift.
The installation was a lot harder than a "two-hour job" as we were initially told. It turned out to be closer to two days. The main problem was the instruction, which did not contain accurate pictures showing the parts and assembly, and had some reversed or missed steps. The difficulty was further exacerbated by some defective parts. For instance one of the rivets on a pair of charge strips was too high, initially making it difficult to insert into the slot and then made it shorted to the rail. Luckily, we caught it before connecting the power and fixed it. I’d strongly suggest Ameriglide to update the Installation and Service Manual. Our advice to future buyers is to allocate sufficient time and patience for it, or to have an experienced installer.
I will give a 3-star at this point and will update after some usage.

A Little About Myself 66 year old with I'll wife |
Pros Dane was helpful, honest and professional
Product appears rugged and well made
Packaging was excellent |
Cons Remote's work spotty. Could use a better antenna. To much steel for small directional included. Instructions could be clearer, but with on line video, ok |
Service & Delivery Now for the reason for my anguish. Long story short is FedEx delivered 1 package a day. The last (The Rail) did not get here until the 24th.
Not had to use service |
AmeriGlide
replies: Hi, Cookie. I apologize for the multiple deliveries. I know that can be pretty frustrating to not them get all at one time. I'm glad they all got there safely, though. I also hope that the remote works better for you. I would definitely try replacing the batteries inside the remote to make sure it's not a power issue. I hope your stair lift continues to work out well for you both! Please let us know if you need anything else. |
