This was the best value on the market. I had 3 different companies provide an estimate and AmeriGlide's was the best. Installation was very simple. The website video provided additional support. My husband took his time and installed it within a couple of hours. My salesperson was a true gem. He walked me through the entire process. Thank you for making an affordable and fine product |

VA care free to veteran. Elderly with average health.
|
| Pros |
Tech made my stairs work & Safe.
|
| Cons |
Because of an Old handicap I needed this. Arm rests need to be big and flimsy.
|
|
Tech tied switch to allow chair to face downward - stairs too narrow to allow normal side way travel. Your tech installer was dedicated, knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend him (prior experience with ACORN agent was a big loss!) My only complaint is the two "bumps" near the top of the track. Had similar experience with the ACORN. It is not a problem to me as long as nothing is being damaged or worn out. Is this a track alignment issue?

Good product. Akward up and down control button, should be on the armrest of the chair, not hanging on a 3 foot cord.

It started with a very helpful phone call to the Sales Rep. who answered a variety of questions that helped me decide to go with mail order instead of purchasing a stair lift from a local dealer and having it installed. Measuring was simple. The Rep also provided me with a web link to step-by step installation videos. I set up my laptop computer nearby and we referred to the videos several times during installation. A carpenter and his assistant who were refinishing my basement installed the stairlift (they had never done it before) and I was testing it out after a little over 2 hours. The system is very well built with a large seat and should last me for many years, not to mention the ample money I saved by going with Amerglide. The only negative I see is the hand controller, which dangles from the unit via the control cord and must be "reeled in" if dropped. A system for mounting the controller to the armrest is needed. Otherwise, I couldn't be more pleased. |

My chair and rail system arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition. The installer called me within two days and came out on a Sunday morning to install it. He took his time, did it right, and explained all about the chair. He also explained what to do if certain things went wrong and told me whom to call for bigger problems. It does not get any better then that. By the way, the installer drove here through a snow storm from Kansas City to keep his word.

I am 100% plus disabled veteran. I have limited mobility, and the stair glide gives me access to my room and downstairs. Well worth the money.
