At AmeriGlide, we know how frustrating it can be to live with limitations. We know you want and need access to all rooms in your home—even during power outages. And we designed our battery powered stairlift with you in mind. With maintenance-free batteries that automatically recharge anywhere on the lift, this stairlift provides the ultimate in convenience, reliability and safety.
The Battery Powered Stair Lift at a Glance:
- 300-pound weight capacity
- 24 volt Class 2 grounded controls throughout
- Works reliably—even during power outages
- Batteries charge anywhere on the track
- 10-year warranty on the drive train
- 5-year warranty on all component parts of the lift
Battery Powered for Your Safety and Convenience.Your new stairlift comes with maintenance-free batteries that automatically recharge anywhere on the lift. This unit does not contain circuit boards, which can be delicate, highly sensitive to vibration, and often prone to failure. You'll love how low-maintenance this stairlift is!
Smooth, Whisper-Quiet Ride. This stairlift features a curved backrest and a padded seat, which is one of the reasons this lift is so comfortable. The footrest can be flipped up to save space and high-tech nylon wheels ensure that the unit will move quietly up the stairs. To improve safety, the seat swivels 180-degrees, so you can exit the stairlift away from the staircase.
Safety Is Our Number-One Priority. Our Battery Powered Stair Lift includes many safety features. The footrest has built in sensors that can detect objects on the stairs. The seat belt has a locking mechanism and the motor can instantly be reversed if needed. There is also a sensor that only permits the stairlift to be operated when the swivel seat is locked into the correct position. Limits at either end of the track and electrical slack cable safety devices make our Battery Powered Stair Lift one of the safest on the market. It meets ASME A17.1 and A18 safety standards for both private and public use. This stair lift is also ETL listed. Included with the stairlift are two call stations that can be mounted on the top and bottom landing. Read more about AmeriGlide safety standards and certifications.
Installation Is a Breeze. Your AmeriGlide battery powered stairlift is factory prepared for easy self-installation. No special tools or skills are required! You can install it on either the right-hand or left-hand side of your staircase; you can even switch it from side to side without any additional parts. Because the track is factory-cut to fit your stairs, it connects directly to your stairtreads—not the wall. That means no unsightly structural work!
Sleek, Compact Design. Since space is at a premium, the seat and footrest of our Battery Powered Stair Lift can be folded up when not in use. When folded, this stair chair only takes up 14 inches of space, so others will still be able to safely use the stairs if needed. With a very elegant almond finish and light grey vinyl seat covering, this stairlift will compliment any home.
We're here to help! Contact one of our stairlift experts to ask any questions or to find out more about how the battery powered stairlift fits your life.

| A Little About Myself | Elderly |
| Pros | Sturdy, Lightweight |
| Cons | Bulky, See comments |
| Service & Delivery | The technical call I placed was answered with professionalism by a person who understood my question and also knew the answer and could talk to me understandably! |
| Negatives: The controls that are to be used while in the chair are not mounted so it is difficult to know which way to push the joystick and takes two hands. The magnet that is in the control box to allow storing the controls to the side of the chair only works on one side of the controls. When you attempt to store the controls, and the magnet is on the wrong side, it is ineffective. I would suggest an option to permantly mount the controls to the side of the chair for those that this is a problem. The foot rest is 8" off the floor at the bottom of the steps. If you can step up onto the step, you could climb the step that the chair is supposed to help you with. The hand controls for the swivel are difficult to locate when setting in the chair. The storage of the foot step requires one to stoop over. That is a manuver that is often very difficult for someone who cannot climb steps. Positives: The unit seems to be well designed (with the exception of the above comments) and seems to be of good quality. | |

AmeriGlide replies:
Thank you for your review. We have received input from several customers on the controls and are looking to improve them. We will also take a look at how to improve the footrest storage as you raise a great point.

| My wife has MS and it has progressed so climbing stairs is dangerous. We have a two story house and this was the answer to not having to sell it. It was easy to install and it works great. We like the fact that it will work during a power outage. My only suggestion was a better way to secure the seat in a folded position. We are both in our 60s and I suspect this will be one of the best investments we have made for the future. | |

| Product used always. Product is dependable if installed correctly. Things that aren't so great: The chair seat flips down by itself and the chair controller may work better if it were a push button, not a flip lever. | |

| Cons | Needshock-proof shipping |
| Service & Delivery | Delivery was prompt. Product arrived with shipping damage to heaviest box and the operator toggle switch. Customer service was prompt, polite, and shipped me a new switch without question. It works fine. |
| USE: We use it everyday. Enables use of upstairs bedroom. GREAT: Works as advertised. Simple well thought out design. Battery power means simple cables and no dangerous voltages. Also security knowing a power outage will not stop the lift. NO Negatives... | |

| Pros | Safe, Sturdy, Smooth ride |
| Cons | Battery shouldlast longer |
| I've installed these for several of my elderly customers and they work great. The only complaint would be that the batteries have tended to only last about 18 months and there is no real way to no they are getting low - the lift just stops working. | |

| The stair chair was relatively easy to install, and it is easy to use. However when we got to the part in the instructions for hooking up the electrical part - that was very unclear. It wasn't the step 1, step 2, etc. like the actual installation part. The seatbelt must be meant for someone about 600 lbs - it is extremely long. We have it shortened to as small as it can get and it is still too long by about four inches. | |
