One remote was determined non functional, call to service resulted in another remote being sent out. Thought it odd to pay return shipping on bad remote but not a big deal!
Followed instructions, went together well. Performs excellent.

A Little About Myself
Pros
If you are even somewhat handy this product is very easy to install! It took me probably 6 hours in all but with two people it would have been less. Parts are heavy so should have 2 people while doing this. Very quiet unit, so would not disturb anyone else in the house. Moves smoothly and is quite a nice ride. True to word, the product looks like it is new.
Cons
Installing the bus line on the side. The wires that are from the seat to motor should be a little different as the other day I pulled the seat off and forgot about the wires and then the unit wouldnt work. After getting a helpful friend here and spending 30 mins looking at everything we found it had pulled one wire just a little out of the board and had to be pushed back in and all was good. So maybe a little different setup there would be good.
Service & Delivery
Ameriglide service is very good. They were very helpful and answered my questions. Since I ran into a few problems, I had talked to them a few times and each time it was a pleasant experience.

I bought this stairlift for my aging mother who is partially paralyzed on her left side. She has such trouble with stairs. It is fairly easy to install and if you are handy you can do this. Everything is pretty simple to do. The track (depending on length) and housing are very heavy so 2 people would be ideal. I would not pay the extra $575 to have a professional install. Find a friend or call a local handyman to assist you. The one thing I did not realize with this product is the measuring aspect of this. If you have a person like my mother who has hard time moving without assistance then you have to add about another 10 to 15 inches on your measurement for the length of track. The reason for this is because the unit will stop on top step and not above the step which, for me is needed. Of course I didn't know this and went with measurements as directed on diagram. Upon installing unit is when I found this problem, called AmeriGlide and they shipped out an additional 10 inch track and additional bus lines (there were extra charges)which is when I found out about using WD40 to help glide the bus line. Now it is complete and works great. Mom tried it out today and she loved it.
