Rave Stair Lift

The AmeriGlide Rave is an ultra-compact stair lift designed to make restoring accessibility to your multi-level home as convenient and easy as possible! Homeowners with exceptionally narrow stair cases will love the ultra-thin design of this stair lift. The lift unit takes up only slightly more than 11 inches when folded, allowing able-bodied housemates and guests optimal access to the stairs. The AmeriGlide Rave is built for durability, with a tough all-metal case construction that withstands normal wear-and-tear far better than other comparable stair lift brands. The powerful worm-rack system can safely transport up to 350 pounds of user weight, and an adjustable-height padded seat with durable folding arms ensures that you will remain comfortable during transit - the seat measures in at 19 inches wide and 14 inches deep.

The AmeriGlide Rave differs from many of our competitors' stair lift units in that the track attaches to the stairs themselves rather than the wall, and every point of contact uses a single bracket, making installation easier on homeowners and handymen. The Rave is compatible with any standard household power outlet, and the battery that powers the unit charges at the top or bottom of the track, providing a reserve of power that keeps your stair lift going even in the event of a power outage. An arm-mounted operation switch is included as a standard feature, along with AmeriGlide's standard array of safety switches that prevent the lift from operating if an obstruction blocks your path. The seat swivels at the top, away from the steps, so the rider can safely exit or enter the stair lift.

Best of all, the AmeriGlide Rave is a product of American ingenuity and workmanship, and every unit is manufactured right here in the United States of America!

Stair lift users need a unit that is safe, comfortable, reliable, and easy to install. The AmeriGlide Rave satisfies all of your needs. To order, contact our mobility specialists today!

What A Deal!

A Little About Myself
Not as young as I use to be.
Pros
The RAVE works as well as the literature described. You get a lot more than you pay for.
Cons
Self-installation is not as easy as the manual and video make it seem.
Service & Delivery
The four boxes arrived when expected. FedEx tracking site kept me up to date as the shipment went from Lake Winnabago to Kansas City to Atlanta, to Athens, GA. No shipping damage problems.
Being a 30 year old trapped inside a 75 year old body, I found the parts, rails, chassis and chair much heavier than expected. It was very difficult for me to self-install. It took three days with several bumps in the road causing me to disassemble and reassemble. If I had it to do over again, I would pay the extra money for installation. Do not use the download manual version from the AmeriGlide site! Use the installation manual included in the shipment. Here's the good news. AmeriGlide has Harmar Summit, LLC of Lake Winnabago, MO build the Rave for them. What you're really purchasing is a $4K Harmar Pinnacle SL600 worm and gear system. It's far superior to the Bruno Elite and the heavy duty Acorn. You'll find an installation video posted on YouTube. Go to the site and search for "Harmar Pinnacle Stair Lifts - Installation Stairlift." This is very helpful, but makes it look easier than it is to self-install.

The Ameriglide Company makes the difference

A Little About Myself
It's all in the details for me.
Pros
We loved being able to do it ourselves. Everyone we talked to at Ameriglide was very helpful during the whole process. If I e-mailed a question, I received an answer within minutes.
Cons
The difference in the download version of the instructions vs the instructions that came with the products was different, but we talked to someone at the company and they set us straight. A broken down labeled schematic of the parts would have been very helpful.
Service & Delivery
Fantastic service and delivered shortly after we ordered it.
I had a great experience with the whole process. Somewhere in the instructions it would be nice to know there is a fudge factor in the measurements. Although, we were told by someone at the company we were over thinking it, which is good to know. Rocket science it is not.

Pros
Easy to install. Rail was exactly the correct length. Great service from sales.
Cons
Service & Delivery
Sales person - Tanner Melton was excellent. Delivery was on time.
My Mom fell and broke her hip - she was worried about climbing the stairs in her house. I sent a web request on Sunday afternoon and a sales person called me within ten minutes and answered all my questions. Next Saturday morning I had it installed before Mom got home. She sat right down and started using it right away and no adjustments were necessary. My Mom and everyone else in the family are happy and sleep better knowing she can get up and down the stairs safely.

A Little About Myself
Living with severe nerve damage
Pros
This is the second lift we bought. Bought this one for my husband having medical procedures. First lift was really nice & had no malfunctions. Second lift had to be replaced. We were sent one for wrong side of stairs, parts were missing, wouldn't power up and the replacement lift would not stop beeping. This second unit does have metal for the drive teeth instead of plastic. It came premounted on "short" track for easier installation. Appears to be heavier duty.
Cons
Got FUNCTIONAL lift a month too late! 1st shipment-parts missing. 2nd shipment-chassis wouldn't power up and for wrong side of stairs. Service rep came for continuous BEEPING. Wires for charging contacts cut by rollers shorting out on rail. Factory rep knew other units had same problem-read other reviews about beeping. Major issues but kept vigilant. Unit works-FINALLY! Installation instructions included were terrible. Online instructions also had alot of errors.
Service & Delivery
Sales rep -Bob- was wonderful with all of the problems. He stoked fires under the factory rep's feet to get everything right. Made it his priority to see things through. I'd work with him again. Factory service needs a lot of work. Product function and development needs to be more scrutinizing. The factory R&D team need to work out the finer details before selling these units. Delivery - freighted straight to my door and carried in. Couldn't ask for more.
Despite all of the technical issues - these lifts can make life so much easier for a person living with physical restrictions. It is a device that will make you wonder why you hadn't done it sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!
