You can do this by staying on top of routine medical appointments, maintaining a healthy diet, staying active most days when you can, regularly monitoring your blood sugar, and taking medications as prescribed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2f72e3eb22f5c6bed41eddf9980d8fd9\" style=\"color:#055097\"><strong>Factor 3 \u2013 Any Other Age-Related Illnesses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Diseases like Parkinson&#8217;s, arthritis and even having a stroke can increase the risk of falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>CDC Tip:<\/em> Speak to your doctor about doing a fall-risk assessment. But if these problems are left untreated, it can become a concern. Osteoporosis is where bones become weak and brittle. This will help with mobility and muscle strength.
