The AmeriGlide Rave is an ultra-compact stair lift designed to make restoring accessibility to your multi-level home as convenient and easy as possible! Homeowners with exceptionally narrow stair cases will love the ultra-thin design of this stair lift. The lift unit takes up only slightly more than 11 inches when folded, allowing able-bodied housemates and guests optimal access to the stairs. The AmeriGlide Rave is built for durability, with a tough all-metal case construction that withstands normal wear-and-tear far better than other comparable stair lift brands. The powerful rack-and-pinion drive system can safely transport up to 350 pounds of user weight, and an adjustable-height padded seat with durable folding arms ensures that you will remain comfortable during transit - the seat measures in at 19 inches wide and 14 inches deep.
The AmeriGlide Rave differs from many of our competitors' stair lift units in that the track attaches to the stairs themselves rather than the wall, and every point of contact uses a single bracket, making installation easier on homeowners and handymen. The Rave can be mounted on either side of the stair case to fit your exact preferences. The Rave is compatible with any standard household power outlet, and the battery that powers the unit charges at the top or bottom of the track, providing a reserve of power that keeps your stair lift going even in the event of a power outage. An arm-mounted operation switch is included as a standard feature, along with AmeriGlide's standard array of safety switches that prevent the lift from operating if an obstruction blocks your path. Finally, the Rave's seat swivels in either direction and locks parallel to the wall (the riding positon) or perpendicular to the wall (for getting on and off the seat).
Best of all, the AmeriGlide Rave is a product of American ingenuity and workmanship, and every unit is manufactured right here in the United States of America!
Stair lift users need a unit that is safe, comfortable, reliable, and easy to install. We think you'll agree that the AmeriGlide Rave satisfies all of your needs. To order your Rave stair lift, contact our mobility specialists today!

| A Little About Myself | |
| Pros |
Get's mom up and down the steps. Definitely less expensive than other places we looked.
|
| Cons |
Foot rest must be manually put up/down which means mom has to bend over at the waist while standing at the top of the steps(yikes)or take cane and lift to the closed position, impossible or push it to the open position, pretty loud as it flops open. The other problem is that it tilts inward. We added shims, but it still leans in so that you feel like you might spill out. When it's at the bottom of the steps,it beeps continuously until we turn it off.So it always has to be sent back up to the top of the steps.

Would probably just pay the higher price for the one that included installation if I had it to do over again.

Handyman with some construction experience
|
| Pros |
This lift was a dream to install and we had two minor adjustment problems when installing. I called technical service and they gave us expert advice and we made the correct adjustments. This lift doesn't mar walls....it sits on your stairs. It is very easy to operate and the seat is large and comfortable. We had it going in a day.
|
| Cons |
No real complaints except that we used the directions that came with it in the box. Then I discovered that they had also been sent to my Kindle and were in color and more detailed.

CNA/Caregiver to handicapped individual.
|
| Pros |
Quiet and efficient, this stair lift works great and leaves enough stair space to carry items up and down the stairs when necessary. The cool thing is, you can also put a basket of items on the seat and use the remote to move them up or down the stairs.
|
| Cons |
Although the lift swivels at the top of the stairs, it might be helpful if it also swiveled at the bottom of the stairs. Not an issue for us, but just a slight swivel would be a boost.

Fast and efficient, an installer traveled from Kansas City to Wichita (Derby area) to install our lift. Took less than 2 hours! Really fast and perfect.

So very pleased with this stair chair lift! This is truly what I'd been looking for my patient. He can walk short distances but with max. help. He can get to the lift; go upstairs and enjoy the day. :D

71 year old good mecanical peraon
|
| Pros |
The shipment was packed perfectely, and all items were received in great shape...Good Job!.
|
| Cons |
Who ever wrote the instructions is a person that has never even tried to assemble a childs tricycle! They were absolutely impossible to follow. Please, as a suggettion,.... have a step by step video instruction. You have the BEST product on the market. Don't make it substandard by giving poor instalation instructions! (it coudn't cost that much)
|
| Service & Delivery |
Perfect in every way!
|
|
Because of mis-communication, I had to order another 8' rail, and I gave up on your instructions, and I had to hire a company to install it for me.... Your instuctions are ambigious and not accurate. I am very capable of mecanical physical diagrams however the instructions were absoletely diplorabile!

| A Little About Myself | |
| Pros |
A really great product - My Mother in law is much happier now. It has made it so much easier for her to handle our two story home. My wife has also gotten away from the idea that we will have to move to a 1 story as we get older and less mobile.
It has lots of safety features on it as well.
|
| Cons |
The manual was horrible. My manual was a 20th generation photo copied unit that was had pictures that were so dark could not see it. Went online and was able to see what the pics were suppose to be. Has someone at your company actually tried to install a unit based on your manual?
Could be done so much better and clearer.

|
If you have the need they have a great product at least it has been for the 2 weeks we have used it.

All way around positive experience with the product, company, and installation. My son-in-law, who installed it, said that if he had to find something negative to say about the lift or putting it in, he couldn't.

When I tell people I live in a two story house they ask if the stairs bother me. I ask "What stairs"? My new Rave chair has really changed my life. Besides be a useful tool for me, my friends all say how attractive it is.
