Is your shower curb too high for you to safely step into when you need to bathe? Never fear - AmeriGlide has a solution! The AmeriGlide Shower Roll-In Conversion Kit is a quick, affordable solution for your shower that will help you or a mobility-impaired housemate enjoy safe and stable bathing for years to come! Our installers will remove the threshold of your shower, and replace it with a non-skid, smooth-entry threshold that meets ADA guidelines for slope incline, clearing elevations up to 4 inches high. You choose the width of the threshold, from 24 to 32 inches. With this barrier to entry removed, users can either shuffle their feet over the gently-sloping replacement threshold, or roll a shower wheelchair directly into the shower for a bath. The new threshold features an inward slope to prevent slip hazards and leaks.
The AmeriGlide Shower Roll-In Conversion Kit takes about 2 hours to install, and is usable after 24 hours have passed. Please note that the retail price of this kit includes the cost of installation - currently, we do not offer DIY versions of the AmeriGlide Shower Roll-In Conversion Kit, so our installers will need to come to your home to perform the necessary alterations.

The service of this system was quick, and the installers were very helpful and informative about what we could expect from the system. They were finished in less than three hours and we're very satisfied with the results.

I was very pleased that the VA paid the full price for the purchase and installation of this system. My husband can now take a shower with very little help from me, and that's a great benefit.

| Pros |
This conversion kit costs thousands of dollars less than a full roll in shower remodeling job. Installation takes very little time, and the shower can be used within a day after the work is done.
|
| Cons |
The conversion is more or less permanent, so if you ever want to restore your shower to its original condition, you'll have to do a pretty extensive remodeling job. For most users, though, this won't ever matter since the inside lip is angled to prevent leaks and the shower remains completely functional.

A very affordable alternative to a bathroom remodel. We've seen this product in action in our warehouse, and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a quick low-cost mobility solution for a disabled bather.
