It took about 3 hours to install with the help of a friend who is a mechanic! All went well...!

Ms M from cleveland, tn would recommend this to a friend.

A Little About Myself 70 Yr old - looking at hip replacement after a life with Polio.
Pros Shipment was fast and complete, even though one box was busted, we took inventory and all was there. Sales rep [...] did exactly what he said he would do, In fact he said my sale was the easiest sale he had made as I had reseached and knew what I wanted.
Cons I wish the ramp stopped at bottom step; that was what I understood, however it goes all the way to the bottom floor - thus impedes access to large room to left when coming down in the lift. We will have to reconstruct and move door elsewhere. Seems in all the pictures I saw the lift ramp stopping at the bottom step. Will go back and check. Just checked out some pictures. Ramp did go to the floor on bottom. My error.
Service & Delivery Delivery was right on time and UPS was great with unloading it. They made note of damaged box also - I was to call them if parts were missing. Even gave me her own cell phone for my ease.
First time we installed one so even with no previous experience we did just fine. Had some problem adjusting the ramp to eliminate a bow in the middle but worked it out. Not easy but my son figured it out.

Pros Sturdy, Easy to operate, Safe
Cons
It was an easy decision to purchase the Amerglide. The Sales person, Mr Dodson, was very helpful and we received our unit in three days. Installation was easy and quick. My wife who had a stroke uses the chair lift many times a day and it has been a great help to her to be mobile as we live in a multistory home.

The only thing we found annoying was the loose controls in the seat but we soon fixed that with a couple of velcro strips. Now the control is right below the handle on the low side. We were extremely happy with the installation. Parts arrived on Thursday and it was installed by the weekend!

Stair Lift certainly did the job intended. It was easy to install with a small team. Only problem was resolved with expert factory diagnostic assistance and a part replacement. However, the replacement of the up relay was a bit-h. Problem happened almost immediatly so I was surprised factory testing did not catch it.

Pros Sturdy, Lightweight, Safe
Cons
Service & Delivery Delivery was prompt. It arrived in what we thought was good condition, but the inside coil was wound backwards at the factory. When we tried to get service for repair, we were told there was no service in our area which was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. However, we were referred to the factory which sent us a new part and it was fortunate we could repair ourselves.
Good reliable product, used for my elderly mother who cannot negotiate 16 stairs.

Pros Mobility
Cons Bulky, Heavy
[...] the cable that takes the chair up and down the stairs was off the track and we had to take it apart to get it back on the track to be able to use at all. Then 2 weeks later the toggle switch to operate from the chair broke off -- it is very flimsy! Needs to be replaced ASAP. We have to work it from the wall switches. The lift is a back saver, as we were carrying her in the wheelchair up and down 15 steps! We are glad to have it. I wish I had known about wall mount set-up, as our stairway is very limited now with a floor mount.
