| A Little About Myself |
Retired a little mechanically inclined.
|
| Pros |
I bought the unit already assembled, and it was easy to install. Everything was as the sales Rep. explained. Delivery was prompt. All I needed was a 120v electrical outlet and help moving the unit into place(Myself and 2 other men). Once in place, anchor the unit to concrete, with the 4 anchors provided. If I find out anyone needing a vertical lift, I would recommend AmeriGlide. |

| Pros |
Works well
|
| Cons |
If the vertical lift is only 11", expect to take an extra 1-2 hours figuring out hour to make the thing stop. The wires controlling the position of the stop are too short. The help dept are not any help. |

Good delivery.
|
|
Expect extra assembly time, due to poor design. It works well after assembly.

The driver from R&L Carriers was fantastic! He was late getting to the house due to snow, but was able to put the crate right in our garage.

Good looking lift that is really easy for our entire family to use. Much safer to move our daughter in and out of our house. Thank you!

I help take care of my mother and father-in-law.
|
| Pros |
Very easy to use. We love everything about this lift itself.
|
| Cons |
This vertical left took 4 hours to put together..... It was even going to be preset to a specific height. Absolutely nothing was put other. We did have some directions but they did not help one bit. Steps were completely left out. It was like trying to part together a jigsaw puzzle with your eyes closed. |
|
As for the lift itself we loved it. As for it being fully assembled... In my case that was a flat out lie. I would recommend this lift in the future only if you are up front about how the lift is actually assembled.

Ameriglide Canada replies:
Thank you for your review. We apologize for the assembly problem as we switched from a fully assembled unit to a partially assembled one and this was not communicated to our staff. We have corrected this for future customers. The Hercules lift can now be ordered to arrive fully assembled in a crate as an option. We have also improved our assembly instructions for those who choose to complete the assembly themselves. Again, we apologize for this mistake.

My father lost his leg to a blood clot, he is 84 and doesn't have the strength to wheel himself up and down a long ramp. The lift is the best solution for this type of situation. Love it!

I had 6 steps that I had to climb to get into my house. Being severely limited in lifting my feet, it put excess stress on my arms. The lift has saved me from painful exertion.
