The Rubex Electric Powered Stairlift at a Glance:
- 350-pound weight capacity
- Motor and gears tested for 30,000 cycles (16 years)
- 24 volt Class 2 grounded controls throughout
Comfortable and Easy to Use. With a movable footrest and a deluxe backrest and seat with thicker padding, this stairlift offers unmatched comfort. The 180-degree swivel seat lets you get on and off effortlessly at top and bottom landings. Once you're seated, just push the control button and let the high-tech nylon wheels provide a smooth ride—every time.
Built for Safety. Every detail of our electric powered stairlift is designed with your safety in mind. We build safety sensors into the footrest, include a locking mechanism in the seat belt, and give the motor instant reversing capability. With automatic limits at each end of the track, standard mechanical and electrical slack cable safety devices, and a failsafe mechanism that prevents operation until the seat is in the correct position, this stairlift is one of the safest on the market today. It is ETL listed and meets ASME A17.1 and A18 safety standards for public and private use. We also include call stations for both top and bottom landings, which can be mounted to the wall or to the floor. Read more about AmeriGlide stair lift safety standards.
Easy "Homeowner" Installation. Unbelievably, the AmeriGlide Rubex electric powered stairlift simply plugs into the nearest outlet. No special wiring is needed! You can install it on either the right-hand or left-hand side of your staircase; you can even switch it from side to side without any additional parts.
Sleek Design Compliments Any Decor. The AmeriGlide Rubex electric powered stairlift is available in an attractive almond finish with your choice of vinyl seat color. When not in use, you can easily fold up the padded seat and flip up the footrest and your stairlift only takes up 14 inches of space. It's so compact, other people in your household always have full use of the stairs.

Solid construction. Easy to operate. Three control devices. Well designed seat & foot rest. Leaves adequate space to use stairs.

Took 9 hours to self-install. Handling & Installation requires two people. The seat "storage position" is unreliable (seat does not stay up}.

Delivery was very quick and ahead of the target delivery date. Service required was phone calls to clarify items during self install.
|
|
The product has been used very little to-date and typically will be used infrequently, perhaps once a week

| Pros |
Final results speak for themselves. My Mom loves the ease of use, the cargo basket, & we can still use the stairs.
|
| Cons |
The top main chair & motor lift IS very heavy.
It would be great if the controllers were wireless

Customer Service & website extremely helpful. Delivery was on time as quoted.
Packages were a bit awkward to handle especially the chair box. The delivery man rolled it around like a spare tire.
|
|
Measuring, & installation was no problem as long as you have some mechanical skills. |

| Cons | |
| Service & Delivery |
I live in Missouri and my father lives in Virginia. The company had a health issue with the installer, but another stepped in and installed the unit. Great service.
|
|
The cost for this stairlift is very reasonable given the quality of life improvements to my father. He resides in the basement apartment of a home and needs to come up a full staircase to get in and out of the home.

50-year old son of stairlift user
|
| Pros |
Easy to install. Plugs into standard electrical outlet. Easy to operate.
|
| Cons |
Battery back-up was not included with the product. Does not have a retractable seat belt. Does not have an adjustable sliding footrest. Seat and foot rest needs to be designed for easy folding when not in use. Magnet for removable switch needs to be stronger or be able to be secured onto either side of the stairlift chair. |
| Service & Delivery |
Delivery was on time and the product was separated into three boxes as described in the video provided online.
|
|
The overall product provides the user the ability to be transported up and down stairs with ease and comfort.

| Pros |
Easy to install. Customer service and factory rep. easily available by phone to answer any questions no matter how dumb.
Highly recommend this product and company.
|
| Cons |
Needs two people to attach main body onto track. I did it by myself but I wouldn't recommend it for the inexperienced person. Packing the instruction manual in the track box would make it easier to find.

| A Little About Myself | |
| Pros |
We purchased a stair lift for my 91 year-old mother who had to go up stairs several times a day to use the bathroom. We were concerned with her learning how to use it, but she learned quickly and just loves it. She loves it so much she requested that we order another one for her other stairway that goes down to her family-room and laundry. It has made a great difference in her independence. |
| Cons |
We have found no real cons with the stair lifts.
|
| Service & Delivery |
Ordering was very easy thanks to your help. The stair lifts, ordered at different times both arrived in a very timely manner. Thanks to your instructions the installations went very smoothly. Can't thank you enough.
|
|
I wish all my ordering experiences were a good as this one.
